Umbrella was born out of a simple observation: dental practices are leaving real money on the table because the operational overhead of running a membership plan or an in-house payment arrangement is too high.

The alternative — third-party patient financing — charges practices 15 to 26% as a merchant discount rate. That is an enormous tax on treatment revenue for the privilege of not having to manage collections yourself.

Umbrella is the third option. Pure software. 3% platform fee plus Stripe processing. The practice keeps the patient relationship. We handle the operational layer.
